About SCARMAK

Hey. We're SCARMAK: a production company started by two friends, Scarlett and Irmak. Yes, the name is just our names merged together, we like it!

We started SCARMAK because the industry felt like a closed circle: too many films playing it safe, recycling the same stories in the same way. We want to make things that say something, not just look good.

Our first short, Colombian Dark Chocolate, has picked up two festival selections so far. Our second, Group, about addiction, grief and queer love, is currently in post, and we've got two more shorts in pre-production. Alongside that, we're building out a commercial arm, most recently a photoshoot for the brand Rude Notes.

We're not trying to box ourselves into one genre or one kind of project. Narrative, commercial, whatever's next: we want range, and we want to do it properly.
